Day 6-Rock of Cashel

Today we traveled back to Dublin and visited the Rock of Cashel on the way back. The Rock of Cashel is one of the oldest castle in Ireland, being built in the 5th century. This site is not only famous for its long history but also the strong history of the Christian faith and the influence of St. Patrick. This castle was built upon a rock and has last through many bishops and kings. The Rock of Cashel includes a cathedral, castle, headstone, large Celtic cross, and buildings for living in the 12th-15th century. Many sites were built high up and contained a large stone wall protecting it from invaders. image.jpeg
